Sportswear concept board

I was looking forward to this project as I was ready to explore colour and I thought that sportswear would enable this greatly. I first of all visited several sporstwear shops where i could look at the textiles and the way zips and fastenings were placed, compared to normal garments. This was an interesting experience and i was able to gather inspiration from the Stella Mcartney collection for addidas. From this i decided that I would feature my collection on athletics. I then researched athletics and what the garments would be like. From this i experimented with shape on the stand with thin strips of card which would represent the seam or the begining shape of the garment.
I then drew several garment ideas unti i came up with the final collection.

I was quite pleased with the outcome as i over stepped the mark and added alot of birght colours to my collection, keeping in mind the athletics approach. This project has taught me that i can go out of my comfort zone and still produce a successful outcome. The sample materials that i gathered also added the visual feel of what the final outcome would be made off.
